FABIANA D. F. MARTINS

Mechanical Engineer, PhD candidate in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, MSc in Materials Engineering, specialist in equipment engineering and inspection - SNQC Brazil UT-L3 certified, forensic expert.

Her career began in NDT within the aerospace sector before transitioning to oil & gas, where she has worked extensively in refinery and offshore (FPSO) integrity engineering across design, construction, assembly, operation, and maintenance.
She has developed inspection techniques for metallic and non-metallic materials, advanced alloys, and polymer composites. She holds patents filed with the INPI for inspection prototypes - shearography for subsea inspection and a field tomograph - in partnership with Petrobras, Federal University of Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro (UFSC and UFRJ).
Over the last 20 years, she has served as an inspector, project coordinator, technical consultant, Petrobras researcher (Cenpes), static equipment integrity engineer (PLH) under SPIE/NR-13, and piping and materials engineer.

WILLIAN MARTINS 

Mechanical Engineer, specialist in equipment engineering, Occupational Safety Engineer, Project Manager – MBA, PMI-PMP certified, forensic expert

He has extensive experience as a multidisciplinary lead engineer in oil & gas (upstream and downstream), industrial operations, refineries, fuel terminals, biofuel plants, and pipelines.

He has led detailed design, project management, construction & assembly, product and machinery manufacturing, inspections, maintenance engineering, commissioning, and diagnostic engineering.

His expertise includes technical analysis of failure modes, effects, and causes in electromechanical equipment - rotating or static, automotive or industrial - root cause determination, systemic engineering diagnostics, and the implementation of asset and maintenance management systems.

In addition to our specialized directors, WEFA Engineering and Forense Expertise works with a network of partner professionals in complementary areas, ensuring broad and interdisciplinary coverage in Diagnostic Engineering, Industrial Inspection, and Integrity Engineering.
